I have been spending hours and hours scanning, editing and uploading to flickr. So far I’ve scanned about 1000 photographs and uploaded about 350. I’ve edited many, but still need to edit some in flickr. I’m trying to formulate a decent work flow to streamline this whole process of digitally archiving my 40+ years of passion. This is the donkey work.
The way I’ve decided to go is work on my largest archives, Jerusalem and London, first. These will be followed by Israel/Tel Aviv, Paris, Istanbul and Johannesburg. Then and only then will I start on my slides!!! Of course while all this is happening, my head keeps visualising my future website, oh lordy, I’m a glutton for punishment……………..
For the above reason of work flow and semblance of order, some collections and sets are rather sparse at the moment as well as some of the photographs being unfinished in the editing stage. Forgive me.
Those of you who wish to see what’s happened so far are welcome to peep/peruse/observe/contemplate here:
A word on surfing flickr for those who are unfamiliar:
1 – click on link
2 – click on sey-mour’s photostream
3 – click on required collection, right hand side column
4 – click on required set
5 – now you have 2 options, oh boy decisions/choices, either click on one of the thumbnails to enlarge the photo, or click on the ‘slide show’ button toward the upper right corner, for a continuous display of that set.
6 – Enjoy!
he he, this is a clicky business and btw, no need to open a Yahoo account to see flickr.
I am almost continually adding to both here and the flickr collections, so whenever you’re bored you can probably find something new here and there and you’ll allow me to bore you even more. Perhaps, if you care to, bookmark this blog and from here it’s a hop, skip and jump from the verbage to the pictorials. (yes!!! I like that word.)
I must admit that this place is suffering because I’m spending all my time over there. The worst part is that I haven’t yet made a serious dent in the negative files…………. 😦
oh well back to the salt mines…….. 😛
